Andover, MA May 3, 2012 Andover Community theater brings locals to the stage for Broadway's tap dancing extravaganza 42nd St the musical Over the last 8 weeks ACT has brought together multi generations of Andover folk. While the production features many experienced dancers ACT and our choreographer Beth Kennedy (A South School Andover elementary teacher as well) and her dance captain Amy McCarthy have taught a cast a non-tappers to tap very difficult choreography in a very short window of time! This is going to be a fabulous show. We love for you to feature it in the community section of your paper. Based on the novel by Bradford Ropes and the subsequent 1933 film adaptation, it focuses on the efforts of famed dictatorial Broadway director Julian Marsh to mount a successful stage production of a musical extravaganza at the height of the Great Depression.
